A Nice City Canopy Walkway (Inked Art) by Janusart A Nice City Canopy Walkway (Inked Art) by Janusart
Yes people, I am finally back with a new piece after a few months of absence: same tools, same style and same horrible inking!

This was soo tiresome and stressfull to ink that I abandoned halfway ... but luckily I found the courage to continue. One stain or one error on the inking of the buildings and everything was wasted ... but I love the difficulty and adrelanine it gives me.

Some need rollercoasters or Cliff-diving ... I simply need a pen, a ruler and a nice A3 paper ^^

15h of draft
3h30 of lining
7h30 if inking (1h for red ink)
1h or crying because of a ink stain on one of the withe birds ^^

Tools:
technical paper CANSON A3,
indian ink (weird chinese brand ^^)
0.05, 0.1 and 0.2 STAEDTLER liners
Red Drawink Ink MAJUSCULE

Please comment, I promise to respond to your comment ^^

This is a masterpiece!
everything in this picture seems perfect :D
not only how well you lined everything, but also the design (which as i can read took you very long) and how amazing you did ink the whole picture :O
with only 2 colors you made such an outstanding picture. i also like the white space between all the buildings and the moon (which is also very cool since you didnt make it all the same red, some spots are lilghter and some are darker. just how it has to be :P).
Overall this is a 19/20 :star: for me. :)

The buildings. looks pristine for all the squared windows, including the tops of the buildings and the layer of dark buildings. The tilt you chose adds interest and the expression in the characters face keeps it light-hearted on an otherwise awe-inspiring mood. The doves balance pockets of light into the very dark night & city and the dress on the character. The weight on the tightrope is well executed, including the convincing posture of the girl. Fingers and wings appear to have a similar theme of curves which ties the piece together. The most impressive piece is the luminary in the sky because of the layers and craters and veins. Its a very balanced composition despite being tilted.

Forgive me but I do not know the definitions of Vision and Originality. Still, it certainly has your favor to it.

Only creative minds could produce such beutiful work using only three basic colours. Tilt is added creation.

It looks beautiful. The red color fits well with black and white and the colors are clean and edges sharp. The contrast is great.

Kiitos ^^. Working out the contrast is what takes the majority of the creation time, thanks for noticing and for your comment!

Normally you haven't, as this is an original piece. But perhaps you saw some works from yusuke Nakamura from who I originally got inspired!

''Unusal'' is what makes an artstyle eye catching, soo that is the best think to do I think. With thousands of pieces being submitted every day on DA, we don't have a choice if we want to attract viewers! I always think that that first step of attracting the viewer is the most critical and essential part. Even if an artwork is absolutely beautiful, if it has no distinctive style, you will not even notice it amongst thousands of other pieces ... that is the problem of such huge art-communities...
